Back out for another day of practice, Nicole Scherzinger was spotted working on the Los Angeles production of Rent in Hollywood, California on Thursday (July, 29).

Readying for her role as Maureen, the casually dressed former Pussycat Dolls singer looked to be taking an upsetting phone call while heading to her car after the day's rehearsals.

Also tending to her Rent duties the previous day, the 32-year-old was a bit more chipper as she toted her script while clad in a white tank top, grey sweats and black ballet flats.

With the show set to take place at the Hollywood Bowl from August 6-8, producer Neil Patrick Harris previously joked of Miss Scherzinger, "Nicole had a wonderful audition - she was well prepared, sang beautifully, and had us all laughing. If only she was somewhat attractive and didn’t have two left feet…"

Pulling the plug after just one season, Ellen DeGeneres will no longer be taking a seat in the judge's booth on "American Idol".

Releasing a statement on Thursday (July 29), Ellen told, “A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me."

She continues, “I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for."

The daytime talk show host finishes, “I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had, I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Making the most of a day off of work, Kim Kardashian was spotted arriving at the Nail Design Salon for a little pampering in Los Angeles on Thursday (July 29).

Looking sexy in white ripped jeans and a black blazer, the E! reality star treated herself to a simultaneous massage/mani/pedi before going to grab lunch to-go at M Cafe de Chaya on Melrose Avenue.

Tweeting to her many fans and followers during the course of the day, Kim cheerfully wrote, "Having a gr8 makeup day thx 2 @Fusion_Beauty's Illumifill Line Filling Luminizer @Sephora. Luv radiant skin & happy 2 b the spokesperson"

Also giving a shout out to her youngest sister, who just landed a modeling gig with Sears at the age of 13, Miss Kardashian tweeted, "So proud of u Kylie!!!! my sisters are superstars!"

Getting plenty of company as her time behind bars draws close to an end, Lindsay Lohan welcomed three visitors at the Century Regional Detention Facility on Thursday (July 29).

Having stuck alongside their loved one the whole way through, Dina and Ali Lohan made the trip to the Lynwood lockup - where they toted huge bags of fan mail from an SUV for Lindsay to read through.

Also spotted at Century Regional was LiLo's ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson, who covered her face as she ran by perched up paparazzi for her second visit during Lindsay's 10-day jail stay.

Not on the guest list but ever so present, the Lynwood site also brought out avid protester, Jake Byrd, who strongly shouted out, "Free the Lohan 1!" and "Lindsay's innocent!".

Joined by a few fellow Lohan fans, Byrd's peaceful protest also saw him holding up signs reading, "Stop Snitching" and "Free My Love Bug".
